I was inspired in a friend‘s toilet, which had a hook screwed diagonally next to the sink. This crap haunted me for weeks, so I had to make a sculpture. It‘s not a readymade, but an enlarged crap. Brass, 50 x 15 x 30 cm
Lyotard’s nose, 1988
Philosopher Lyotard invited me to a group exhibition The Postmodern Explained to Children. I hired a photographer in Paris and he secretly took a picture of his nose. Based on the photos I made a model and cast the nose in glass. Lyotard then wrote me in a letter: „But you must realize that Sigmund Freud associated the nose and the penis. So you actually exposed my penis.“ Glass, 8 x 6 x 5 cm
